SPANISH PRAYER GROUP:

The members of the Spanish Prayer Group want to follow a living Christ. A central aspect of the devotion of this group is the emphasis on the Holy Spirit.  At their meetings members invoke the Holy Spirit, sing to worship and give thanks to God, read and discuss a selection from the Gospel, pray a rosary to the Virgin, and lastly give testimony of significant things that have occurred to them during the week.  At the end, they pray for the sick and for others.  They conclude their meeting singing to the Lord.

The Spanish Prayer Group meets every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.  The contact person is Mr. Antonio "Tony" Echevarría.

The Spanish Prayer Group celebrated their sixth anniversary on August 18, 2009.  The preacher was the Rev. Deacon Frankie Vázquez.

CURSILLO:

The Cursillo is a global movement that started in Spain in the 1940s.  Cursillo means a "little course" in Christian life, and it takes place on a weekend from Thursday to Sunday; it happens only once in a lifetime.  During that weekend there is a personal encounter with Christ, an encounter with oneself, and an encounter with the other participants.  This "little courser" aids participants in developing leadership skills and in how to deepen their faith and the principles of Christianity.  This weekend creates a support program for the rest of the life of the participants.  The Cursillo promotes Christian renewal within families and parishes.  After the weekend "little course,' various local activities are programmed in the different communities.

At Corpus Christi Cursillistas meet every Thursday at 7:45 p.m.  The contact person is Ms. Marcia Ruiz.

LEGION OF MARY:

The members of the Legion of Mary follow the example of the Virgin as she walked along with the Apostles.  The main objective of the Legion of Mary is to bring people to Christ through the Virgin.  Therefore, one of the principal works of the Legion is to teach people how to imitate Mary and, through her, to get closer to Christ.  At the meetings, members pray the rosary and read prayers from a special manual.  At the end of the year, the person in charge puts together a summary of the discussions for that year.

The Legion of Mary meets every Saturday after the 11:00 a.m Mass.  The contact person is Mr. Antonio "Tony" Echevarría.

APOSTLESHIP OF PRAYER:

The Apostleship of Prayer is an organization that worships the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  At their meetings members talk about topics related to spiritual growth, discuss the readings of the Sunday Mass, and study a special reading about the Sacred Heart.  They also pray for the sick or for any other need of their members or the community.

The Apostleship of Prayer meets the first Sunday of each month after the 10:00 a.m Mass.  The contact person is Mrs. Adelfa Osorio.
