               Arthur Biddle, presenter

 

Arthur "Bill" Biddle has presented papers and led workshops at nearly a dozen meetings of the International Thomas Merton Society and the Thomas Merton Society of Great Britain and Ireland.  While researching the award-winning When Prophecy Still Had a Voice, he traveled to libraries in New York City; Louisville, Kentucky; and Olean, New York.  But best of all, he made his way by plane and ferry several times to the Greek isle of Patmos to visit and interview Bob Lax.  Arthur Biddle is Professor Emeritus of English at the University of Vermont and lives in North Hero, Vermont.
