THE HOLTKAMP ORGAN  (1956)

Corpus Christi Church’s splendid example of Walter Holtkamp’s American Classic organ is a three-manual instrument with 23 stops (29 ranks of pipes).  The free-standing pipework is installed in the northwest gallery of the church, in a chamber directly above the organ console.  This location and type of installation enables the organ to sound as beautiful as possible, taking full advantage of the church’s excellent acoustics.
