Verbum Supernum, 1264

The parish church of Corpus Christi is known for a strong tradition of liturgical music, a distinctively American "colonial" interior unusual for a Roman Catholic Church, and as the site of writer and monk Thomas Merton's conversion. We are also the parish home of Catholic ministry at Columbia University. Our flagship Choral Mass is held at 11:15 am, every Sunday. Our congregation of more than 450 registered families and individuals welcomes all visitors and newcomers, especially students.

We are located at:

529 West 121st Street, New York, New York 10027 (just east of Broadway)

We have a strong tradition of liturgical music and support a 501(3)c, Friends of Liturgical music. In addition to our Choral Mass, we host a variety of free and ticketed concerts, including the ongoing "Music Before 1800" Series.

Corpus Christi is the site of Thomas Merton's conversion to Catholicism and is home to the NYC chapter of the Merton society, which hosts regular talks and reading groups.

We are the university parish for Columbia University and provide on Campus ministry at St. Paul's Chapel in addition to services at the main church.
